Pressure Washing

PLEASE, DO NOT PRESSURE WASH A ROOF! Whether it is made of shingles, aluminum, or clay tiles, roofs are delicate and costly to repair. They also tend to come with warranties that are voided by pressure washing. Instead, we use a combination of cleaning agents to kill the organic growth, loosen up any dirt, and leave your roof sparkling. Black streaks and growth on roofs in usually a version of algae which can cause damage over time. It retains moisture for long periods of time and can introduce rot much more quickly than expected. This is especially true in Florida’s tropical climate. Roofs with substantial tree coverage will need to be cleaned more often than otherwise.

One thing that sets us apart from the competition is our commitment to cleaning in a safe manner. This includes protecting your vegetation throughout the entire process. We see roof washing as a two-person job at minimum. While one person is on the roof, the other has the sole responsibility of manning the garden hose. From start to finish, they will rinse off any overspray and dilute any runoff that may have gotten onto the plants, lawn, or house. We also rinse away the algae after it has been killed in order to consistently deliver outstanding same-day results.

This is our most popular cleaning service. Despite them name, we use the same process to clean single-family homes, apartment complexes, motels, office spaces, warehouses and more. We are insured for commercial work as well as residential. In either case, we use a soft wash process to remove dirt and grime from all visible surfaces. This includes gutters, soffits and eaves, siding, and porch ceilings. We are able to clean the vast majority of windows as part of the standard housewash process, but those with excessive build-up may require an additional hand washing and/or spot-free rinse. Every person on our crews have been meticulously trained on all the potential pitfalls when cleaning a building’s exterior. If roofs are zero pressure and houses are low pressure, then surface cleaning is high pressure. We use the strongest commercially-available equipment to deep clean driveways, walkways, pool decks, patios, and lanais. Every service comes standard with an algaecide pre-wash. This kills any algae, loosens up the dirt, and brightens the concrete ever so slightly. We also offer two different cleaning styles for paver: surface clean and deep clean. The former uses a rotary attachment to hit the joints as briefly and gently as possible while still cleaning the pavers. The latter includes the additional step of going through, inch-by-inch to clean out the joints completely. This is generally only recommended when followed up immediately by re-sanding and sealing the pavers. All of our equipment also comes with pressure regulators. This allows us to dial back the pressure on more delicate materials like pool decks or painted concrete.

This is the most technical style of pressure cleaning, since the material is soft and easily damaged. For this reason, we use a whole line-up of chemicals to break up green organic growth, dissolve the gray UV-induced weathering, and then brighten the wood after it has been cleaned. Unlike other building materials, wood was a previously living organism. This causes us to take several steps in prepping, cleaning, and then neutralizing the wood. While not technically pressure washing, we include this with exterior cleaning. Tired of full, sagging gutters? Not proud of your elevated garden? Hesitant to dig your hands into mysterious decaying plant matter? Let us empty out your gutters and downspouts and restore their full functionality. Full and overflowing gutters are not only an eye-sore, but they could cause a number of more severe home problems. The weight will cause the gutters to sag and pull away from the soffits over time. This throws the gradual slope out of line and can require very expensive repairs. They also retain moisture and harbor insects right along the home’s wooden structure. Once gutters fill up, they can also cause leaves and other debris to back up along the valleys of the roof. This constant source of moisture on the roof causes it to break down quickly and eats into the lifespan of the roof shingles. Finally, the overflow can cause issues inside the home or to the foundation. If the overflow runs between the house and gutter, surface tension can cause it to turn the corner and head into the attic. If it overflows the other way, this is able to erode the soil on which the foundation rests. If there are no plants to hold the soil in place, this erosion can eventually lead to extremely expensive foundation repairs. However, routine cleanings can solve all these issues by keeping the gutters and downspouts free from obstruction. We also install quality aluminum gutter guards for a fraction of the price of these heavily marketed businesses like gutter helmet and leaf filter. We have found the best results at buildings that are surrounded by pines or large-leaf trees. The pine straw and leaves will never be able to flush down the spout and to the ground. Therefore, it can back up and restrict flow in just a matter of months. Gutter guards enclose the top of gutters so that debris sits on top while only water is allowed into the system. This eliminates the need for regular service.
